About my work:
For inspiration I look to my own emotional evolution, applying current and former states of mind to the same subject matter. This juxtaposition often results in a confrontational sentiment that reflects the unsettling nature of self-examination.
Visually, many of my pictures have a simplistic, dreamlike quality that stands in contrast to the content, which is somewhat darker and more complex.
With this kind of personal photography I hope to create an intensity and a sense of recognition that will act as a segue to the viewer's own frame of reference.
